An easy recipe perfect for cold days or if you’re feeling a bit under the weather. This Ginger Turmeric Shot reduces inflammation and nausea, helps with digestion and can reduce pain.
Ingredients
- 300 g ginger
- 100 g turmeric
- 2 x organic lemon
- 2 x organic orange
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 8 dl water
Method
- Peel the lemons and the oranges. Coarsely chop the ginger and turmeric.
- Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend on high for 1 min.
- Strain through a clean thin dish towel, small fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag. Be aware that turmeric can stain.
- Enjoy immediately or store covered in the refrigerator for about a week.
- Leftover pulp: Refrigerate and use it to make a delicious, warming tea or freeze into an ice cube tray and add to future smoothies.
