Ingredients
- 3 x lamb shank
- 3 x yellow onion
- 3 clove garlic
- 1 x chili
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp seven spices
- 1 tsp red pepper powder
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 dl water
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius.
- Rinse the lamb shanks well with cold water and make some cuts in them.
- Slice the union and peel the garlic.
- In an ovenproof dish, mix all the spices, onion, garlic and water together. Add the lamb shanks and mix well with the spices and the onion mixture.
- Cover the form first with baking sheets then aluminum foil to get the best result. Roast the lamb shanks in the middle of the oven for 2 hours first.
- Then you turn the lamb shanks over so that all sides are cooked equally well. Roast the lamb shanks for another hour.
- Then remove the foil and paper and continue cooking for another 15 minutes, to get a golden color on the lamb shanks.
- Serve with desired side dishes.
