Do you want a quick and tasty dinner with an ever-so-small umami boost?? Then this is the dish you need to make! Serve the misopasta with only mushrooms for a meat-free dinner, or with whatever meat or fish you prefer. Here I have served it with fried chicken!
Ingredients
- 200 g dried pasta
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp miso paste
- 1 dl heavy cream
- 1 x lemon
- 100 g mushroom
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 50 g edamame
- 1 x spring onion
Method
- Cook the pasta, but cut down the cooking time by a couple of minutes.
- Cut the garlic into thin slices. Put the butter in a frying pan and fry the garlic until soft. Add miso paste and cream and stir until the miso dissolves. Put in the slightly undercooked pasta together with some of the pasta water and let the pasta finish cooking in the sauce. Add more of the pasta water, if necessary, until the sauce is thick enough. Season to taste with salt, pepper and a little lemon juice.
- Fry the mushrooms with a little butter until golden. Add soy sauce towards the end of the cooking time.
- Top the dish with edamame beans, finely chopped spring onions and sesame seeds!
- Tip: Feel free to add some parmesan to the sauce too if you have it!
