Matcha is a form of green tea with roots dating back to Japan over 900 years ago. It was first cultivated by Zen monks for its meditative effect. Matcha is grown by shading the tea leaves from sunlight in the weeks before harvest, which increases the level of chlorophyll and gives the leaves a greener color. The leaves are then dried and ground into a fine powder. The tea is known for its health benefits, including high levels of antioxidants, caffeine, and amino acids.
Ingredients
- 1 dl water
- ½ tsp matcha powder
- ½ tsp honey
- 2 dl oat milk
