Kimchi Stew with Gyoza Dumplings

Discover the perfect combination of spicy and sour kimchi, ramen and soft steamed dumplings. This tasty Korean dish is sure to satisfy your taste buds. In this we have used Gyoza Dumplings, Beef Bulgogi from Korea, bought at our local Asian store. You can also make Gyoza dumplings yourself. You can find the recipe here in Sulten.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 120 g kimchi
  • 1 x yellow onion
  • 50 g dairy butter
  • 6 dl water
  • 1 pack kimchi noodles
  • 6 x gyoza dumlings, beef bulgogi
  • 2 x green onion

Method

  1. Place the gyoza dumplings to the counter for them to thaw.
  2. To a pot, add sesame oil and kimchi.
  3. Chop onions into pieces and place them to the pot together with dairy butter.
  4. Add water and bring to a boil.
  5. Add noodles and simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Season with desired amount of kimchi sauce powder. (This is in the packet of noodles)
  7. Place the gyoza dumplings to the pot along with the chopped Asian spring onions. Cover with a lid and let it steam for 7 minutes. Serve immediately topped with some fresh green onion.
