Fish Gratin with leftovers

Making gratin with leftovers is simply brilliant for less food waste. In this dish you will use leftovers from "Classic boiled cod with broccolini and sour sauce". If you haven't made that dish earlier in the week and have leftovers in the fridge, you need to remove about 80 g of fish, make about 3 dl of white sauce per serving and boil 1 potato.

Ingredients

  • 1 dl macaroni
  • 2 x slice of bread
  • 1 x eggs

Method

  1. Cook the macaroni as directed on the package.
  2. Toast the bread slices dry in a toaster or in the oven. Let them cool and crush them into crumbs in a blender.
  3. Separate the yolk from the white of the egg. Make sure that there is no yolk in the egg white. Beat egg whites fluffy to a bowl.
  4. To the same bowl, add cooled macaroni and leftover fish, potato and sauce from earlier in the week. Fold carefully and transfer to an ovenproof dish. Top with breadcrumbs. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
  5. Note: You can use the egg yolk to make super delicious cookies. Check out my recipe: Gluten-free Chocolate Chip Cookies;)
